As you know, Bayou Paddlesports is a small business trying to revive the water culture of Louisiana by providing kayak, paddle board and canoe rentals on Bayou St John. All that fun came to a stop when LSU Dental rented out the only community space to access the bayou to Impetus, a construction company. They will be resurfacing Moss St and replacing the Desaix Bridge, a much needed project scheduled to last a year or more. All we’re asking is that the construction staging move further down the street and keep the launch site at 1101 Florida Ave open to the public!!
